It finally really felt like fall today and it made me so happy! This time I didn't even have to add little leave decorations to the ground! A family friend of mine gave me this coat she bought in the 70s when she was a teenager in Haight Ashbury.. I feel like a duchess in it.

With the crispy fall weather came the greatest gift of today.. the Starbucks Chestnut Praline latte came out! I am a total Starbucks nerd and I don't care what anyone says I love their holiday drinks. Starbuck's hasn't released a holiday drink in 5 years! Was it yummy? I thought it was..

DEE licious! I love the crunchy sprinkles on top. I have a major sweet tooth so I was in heaven. This drink actually wasn't sickeningly sweet with the amount of syrup that's in it like the PSL. I usually tell them only one or two pumps but I always forget hehe. Hope you are enjoying fall as much as I am! Love and lots of sugar!

DIY Winter Woodland decoration aka Mr. Minty Boot's

I haven't been feeling very much inspiration lately, so I wanted to wait until I could post something that I worked hard on. 

If you are a holiday fanatic and love ultimately cheap decoration and gifts you HAVE to go to the dollar section at Target RIGHT now. Yes, it seems freakishly early to be preparing for Christmas and the holidays... it may even scare you, but if you don't act now that dollar section will be empty, sugar!

This DIY holiday decoration came out to be $4 because I already had the paint and I'm sure if you're a Crafty Mc Crafter-son like me you already have acrylic paint, so that will come out to zero dollars! If you can't specifically find this little reindeer you can always go to your local craft store where they will definitely have cheap wood cut outs to paint for only a few dollars. 

Just for reference, these are the paints I used! Acrylic is good to use because it dries fast.

I began by painting the whole thing my own custom shade of mint green. Obviously, I love this color hence the color of my wall!

When that dries I'm painting on fluffy white snow-like icing on him. I did one layer of white acrylic paint and then the pearlescent white by Martha Stewart. I also painted on little icy hooves. 

When the white dries I am flattening the paintbrush to an edge to paint little sprinkles on of pastel yellow, blue, and pink.

 Don't forget the hooves!

After my sprinkles are dry I waited a full 30 minutes to paint on glitter glue to add holiday sparkle.

DIY Hamburglar pet costume

Happy Halloween!!!

Oatmeal is the Hamburglar! (Don't know who the Hamburglar is?)

This was a last minute little project I decided to do this morning because I am an insane bunny mom. If you want to make your pet a Hamburglar, you will need:

• Felt 
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun
• A little hamburger (I made this tiny one out of Sculpey clay)
• Black twine
• White acrylic paint
• Colored pencil

This costume is very much makeshift so there are no measurements unfortunately! If you eyeball it to the size of your pet, you really shouldn't have any problems. My only tip is to keep using them as a little mannequin in between making the hat, cape, and mask so the sizes can turn out right!

I traced a circle about 6 cm in diameter on black felt with a yellow colored pencil for the brim. The top of the hat, which pictured here, is measured about 10cm. 

The mask here ended up being too small so I tripled it in size. 

Here I am gluing the top of the hat together which is the 10cm strip. 

I am tracing the glued 10 cm strip to make a top of the hat to the felt to seal it off.

Hot glue it!

Here is the size comparison to the mask and hat. This is the mask that I ended up tripling in size to fit Oatmeal's big head :) To make holes in the mask simply fold your mask in half and trace a half oval shape. Cut out the half ovals and unfold your mask. Now it has eye holes!

Glue twine to both sides of the tiny mask. Make the twine way longer than you expect it needs, you can trim the length later!

I glued a thin 11cm strip of yellow felt to the hat. The tiny clay hamburger was something I had laying around oddly enough, I made it into a magnet a while ago and it broke off the magnet, so it served a purpose today for Oatmeal's costume! 

I traced and cut out a cone shape for the cape. The length of the cape measuring from bottom corner to corn is 28cm. I attached a mini collar which is 11cm in length.

I traced, roughly measured 2 cm stripes in height, with a colored pencil and filled it in to paint over with white acrylic paint. 

Here is the first coat of paint for the stripes. I recommend doing two or 3 to make them bold. I glued on twine to the cape so I could tie it on to my poor bunny.

DIY breadless cucumber sandwich snacks!

This is an easy and (somewhat) healthy snack that takes minutes to prepare.. You will love this if you love cucumbers!

I got fancy and sliced my cucumbers with the wavy side of my mandolin. I cut rather thick slices.

Spread whipped cream cheese (for easy spreading) and sandwich your slices together.

Season both sides with salt, pepper, dill and you are all set for munchin! I love making this when I get carb crazy and want to eat a whole bag of chips, which a lot of the time I will do any way but I try not to :) Hope this sounds yummy to you! Quick and easy. Happy Friday ya'll!

90s grunge granny OOTD

Don't mind me just trying to be edgy in teddy bear mom jeans ^.^

50s vintage mohair cardigan from the $5 sale rack at Down at Lulus! 80s vintage polka top crop top from Mercy Vintage. This reminds me of a top that Phoebe Cates would wear in Fast Times at Ridgemont High!

90s vintage mom jeans also from Down at Lulus. They are sooo stretchy and comfy. They have teddy bears and little letters embellished all over the front. They remind me of jeans I've seen on Style Nanda. Some friends and family really shake their heads when I wear these.. maybe they look like grandma pants but I think they're soo kawaii!

90s vintage 4 eye Doc Martens from no other place than Down at Lulus! I got these for $34 3 years ago!!

Shopping in Japan/ Garden Rodeo OOTD

Glasses are from Crossroads Trading, jacket is 1980s vintage from Telltale Heartbeat Vintage

I got this dress in Shibuya on my trip to Japan. Shopping there I felt like a little kid, gasping, and running all over Takeshita Dori (one of the cheaper and very trendy places to shop) grabbing things to try on. Tokyo is such a stylish city. I love being surrounded by all the people who have such a creative sense of self.

This was walking into the heart of Shibuya for the first time! I couldn't believe my eyes.
